The Ottawa Memorial Association was formed March 18, 1928 as a non-profit organization. The purpose of the Association is as follows:

A. To insure respect for, and care of, the graves of the deceased Veterans of the Armed forces of the United States.

B. To perpetuate respect for, and celebration of, the annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day holidays in the City of Ottawa.

C. To honor, respect, and perpetuate the memory of those residents of the greater Ottawa, Illinois area who served and /or died in the armed forces of the United states by or through the erection and or maintance of approved and appropriate markers, flags, memorials, tributes, observances, or other means.

D. To serve as a point of contact for citizens wishing to arrange for military honors or graveside services for deceased veterans, for appropriate Memorial Day and Veterans day grave markers, or for appropriate memorials for Veterans.

The Ottawa Memorial Association is a not for profit organization who depends solely upon donations and volunteers.   The organization seeks individuals who want to be involved in promoting the ideals of the Ottawa Memorial Association.

We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M.
